Jinshan Industrial Zone is located in the important area, with a rapid and convenient transportation network. Within it there are five highways, including Tingfeng Highway (A30) stretching west to such areas as Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province and east to Pudong International Airport; Xinfeng Highway (A4£©stretching north to the city center of Shanghai and west to Hangzhou Bay Bridge and such areas as Ningbo in Zhejiang Province; Jiajin Highway (A5£©stretching north to Huhang, Huqingping, and Huning Highways to Jiangsu Province; Tongsan Highway(A6£©stretching north to Jiangsu Province and further to Heilongjiang Province, and south to zhejiang Province and further to Hainan Province. The five highways together with Jinshan Railway branch and 320 National Road run across the whole Jinshan boundary. In addition, Jinshan, reaching out to Hangpu River directly, forms a large dimensional transportation network that integrates rails, roads and sea transportations.
When the zone is complete with development, the light rail will be introduced from the uban area of Shanghai, forming a circuit within the zone, so that Jinshan and the urban area are more closely linked to provide more convenient and better transportation for the residents and employees in the industrial zone.
